Hello, This is Justyna, and have more makeup than I know what to do with, but I have been pretty effing lazy recently when it comes to mix and matching colors. On a regular basis, possibilities are I awakened late and do not have much time to put more than minimal effort into making my face, so I slap on an eyeshadow, infrequently eyeliner, mascara, and run out the door. Sadly it wasn’t till I received some Motives makeup to try that I realized how severely i have been neglecting one of my only real passions : playing in cosmetics.

Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger is a fairly new line that isn’t enormous, but definitely should be. It’s not super pricey, and many cosmetics firms do not get that quality doesn’t need to be at once related with cost. This isn’t one of those companies. The Pressed Eye Shade ( $12 ) feels literally like velvet.

It picks up on a brush pretty simply, but I wish to use my pinky finger to mix the colours. I attempted on some different shades over the course of a week to get a understanding of all of the colours. They aren’t super-heavy, so it’s possibly not best as a stage makeup brand, but it works reasonably well for wearing to parties and such like. You can also mix the colours with a tiny water to get a heavier look. The Kohl Eyeliner ( $14 ) goes on smoothly and also makes a solid base for a liquid liner, if you want to be out for hours at a time and do not need motives makeup wearing out before you do.

I’m typically not ardent on powder foundation at ALL ( it makes my face look dry and gross ), but the Liquid Powder Foundation with SPF fifteen ( $24.95 ) went on smoothly and didn’t have a cakey finish. While I will not wear it each day, it’s got great coverage for Sat. Nights and times I’m on camera ( hi-def is a bitch )

Last Sat. I was headed to a party, so I believed it’d be lovable to layer their new gloss ( coming at once on the site over the wealthy Color Lipstick in Venetian Red ( $14 ). I got a large quantity of compliments, and the boyfriend liked it, so when I awakened the following day still a touch lagered and prepared to wear a fun outfit for Sun. Funday ( read : tasty breakfast and unlimited mimosas, amen ), I was wearing it again for more oomph.

Ultimately, I’ve been wearing the Pressed Blush in Runway ( $13.50 ) for the past few days instead of my usual cheek stain. It hasn’t made a giant difference, but that is kind of the point, right? I was wearing it to a latest office party, got a lot of compliments, I love Motives Cosmetics !
